Hut 8 Subsidiary ABTC Doubles Down on Bitcoin Accumulation

ABTC, a majority-owned subsidiary of Hut 8 Corp., has increased its Bitcoin holdings by 300 BTC to a total of 8,300 BTC. This marks another addition to their already impressive stash, which is now among the largest corporate treasuries.

The company's strategy revolves around accumulating more BTC per outstanding share through mining and purchases. Since October 2025, ABTC has seen its holdings rise by 115% to approximately 8,300 BTC.

ABTC's mining output was particularly strong in Q2 2026, producing a record 932 BTC. This helped push their total holdings past the 8,000 mark and into eight figures.

The company's refusal to sell any of its reserves has been both a differentiator and a risk factor. By not liquidating any of its BTC, ABTC can't use sales as a liquidity lever during tough times.
