Hut 8's Texas Power Site Lands $35B AI Infrastructure Deal with Nvidia
Hut 8's Texas-based power site has become a crucial part of a massive AI infrastructure deal worth $35 billion. The agreement, which involves Nvidia and Lambda, channels approximately 350 megawatts of IT capacity through Hut 8's Beacon Point campus in Nueces County, Texas.
The partnership between Hut 8 and Anthropic dates back to December 2025, when they partnered alongside Fluidstack for a deal that initially encompassed 245 MW, with scalable potential up to 2.295 GW across various sites.
Hut 8's strategic positioning within ERCOT, the Texas power grid operator, gives it access to some of the most competitive electricity pricing in North America. The company's leases are with investment-grade counterparties, providing predictable revenue streams that contrast sharply with the volatility-dependent economics of Bitcoin mining.
