$HYPE and Chainlink See Significant Whale Activity as Market Sees Surge
A surge in on-chain activity from large investors has been observed in the cryptocurrency market. Specifically, two altcoins have seen significant whale activity: Hyperliquid's native token $HYPE and Chainlink ($LINK).
In the case of $HYPE, a crypto whale bought another 40,000 tokens from Coinbase today, worth approximately $2.3 million. This purchase increased the wallet's total holdings to 260,000 tokens, valued at around $15.1 million.
An additional whale was seen investing in Hyperliquid, buying 60,000 $HYPE. However, this investor has begun selling, earning around $1.77 million for 31,560 $HYPE sold so far. Two TWAP orders for selling $HYPE are still active in the wallet, with one worth approximately $2.1 million and having about 15 hours left to be completed.
The same wallet also sent approximately 1.67 million USDC to Coinbase. On the Chainlink side, a large investor transferred around 213,810 $LINK, worth $1.87 million, to their Gnosis Safe wallet. This transfer could indicate that the assets are not being held for short-term sale.
