Hype ETFs Suffer $26M Outflows Amid Cooling Investor Interest
Hype ETFs have seen significant outflows in recent weeks, as investors appear to be losing interest in tracking Hyperliquid's native token. According to data from Pluang, two US-listed ETFs, Bitwise's BHYP and 21Shares' THYP, experienced a combined net outflow of $26.4 million between September 7-11, 2026.
The outflows are not entirely surprising, given the growing competition in the altcoin ETF space. Since these ETFs debuted in mid-2026, several new products have launched, potentially shifting investor preferences. Despite this trend, the ETFs still hold a cumulative net inflow of about $330 million since inception, with combined assets of $430 million.
The decline in interest in Hype ETFs may also be attributed to changing market conditions and investor sentiment. As more investors explore alternative investment options, they may be looking elsewhere for returns.
