HYPE Supply Tightens as Hyperliquid Burns $1.32M in Token Value
Hyperliquid's token burning strategy has led to a significant reduction in supply for HYPE. The protocol purchased and burned 15,350 tokens worth approximately $1.32 million within 24 hours, averaging a price of around $86.17 per token.
This recent buy extended an existing trend of supply contraction, permanently removing 4.84% of the maximum token supply. As of press time, total lifetime burns stand at 48.45 million HYPE, valued at $4.11 billion using the current market valuation.
The reduced supply has led to increased demand, with whale accumulation playing a significant role in tightening readily available market supply. A specific trader accumulated around 194,210 HYPE tokens over ten consecutive days through repeated transactions from exchange hot wallets.
Combined with Hyperliquid's token burn activity, these developments strengthen the argument for a tightening supply. However, despite the decline, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains above neutral territory, leaving the broader recovery structure intact around current price levels.
