HYPE Surges Past $85 as Altcoin Rally Spreads Across Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin

HYPE, the token from Hyperliquid, has broken its previous record and traded above $85 on August 27. This marks an extension of a broader advance across major altcoins.

Solana led the field with a double-digit daily gain, followed closely by Monero at 7.4%. XRP, Chainlink, and Dogecoin also gained more than 6%, while Ethereum and Zcash cleared the 2% threshold.

The breakout in HYPE was driven by fresh positions entering the market, with open interest reaching nearly $3.9 billion, up roughly 10% from the previous record attempt. The move through $83.60 removed the last recorded price ceiling and opened the route above $85.
