Hype Whale Adds $24M in $HYPE Purchases Amidst A16Z Link Speculation

A large cluster of wallets has acquired 282,090 $HYPE tokens at an estimated average price of $81.50.

The cluster deposited $36 million in USDC into Hyperliquid and used approximately $24 million to purchase the tokens during the 24 hours ending August 27.

On-chain analyst EmberCN suspects that the cluster is connected to Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), but this attribution has not been confirmed by the venture capital firm.

The cluster's accumulated and staked position in $HYPE has reached an estimated 4.679 million tokens, worth around $381 million at current market prices.
