Hyperblox Breaks Through with 12,500 TPS in Testing
HPB Crypto, now rebranded as Hyperblox, has announced impressive performance metrics in its testing phase. The project's network can handle over 5,000 transactions per second (TPS) with average gas fees of approximately $0.001 per transaction.
The peak throughput reached during the test was 12,500 TPS, significantly higher than other layer-1 networks such as Ethereum, which processes around 15 to 30 TPS. HPB's Proof of Performance consensus mechanism selects high-performance nodes every 200 blocks based on network bandwidth, community-voting rank, and HPB holdings.
The project's architecture is built around a custom Blockchain Offload Engine (BOE) hardware chipset that combines field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for parallel transaction processing. This hardware-first approach targets enterprise use cases where high throughput and low latency are critical.
HPB's rebranding to Hyperblox signals an effort to reach international audiences beyond the Chinese market, where the project originated from a state-endorsed infrastructure initiative. The project currently maintains a circulating supply of 73.06 million tokens from a total supply of 101.11 million, with annual issuance capped at 6% to control inflation.
