Hyperion DeFi Defies Market Slump with Record Q2 Earnings
Hyperion DeFi has posted a significant second-quarter net income of US$31 million (AU$44.02 million), more than tripling its previous quarter's result of US$8.8 million (AU$12.50 million). This is the company's second consecutive quarterly net income record.
The increase in profits can be attributed to substantial gains in the HYPE treasury, alongside higher adjusted gross profit and lower operating expenses. The company's HYPE holdings were valued at US$132.6 million (AU$188.29 million) at quarter-end, compared with US$71 million (AU$100.82 million) in March.
Despite a digital asset treasury sector facing weaker conditions due to falling crypto prices and eroding balance-sheet gains, Hyperion's stronger results stand apart. The company is using its HYPE treasury in new arrangements supporting activity on Hyperliquid, including staking 500,000 HYPE with Entropy and committing another 500,000 HYPE to Skew Technologies.
Adjusted gross profit rose 20% to US$1.15 million (AU$1.63 million), while operating expenses excluding stock-based compensation fell 21% to US$2.3 million (AU$3.27 million).
