Hyperion DeFi Raises Guidance, Initiates $20M Stock Buyback Program
Hyperion DeFi, a Nasdaq-listed company (NASDAQ: HYPD), has announced an increase in its full-year guidance and initiated a stock buyback program of up to $20 million. The company claims to be the first US-listed DeFi company built on Hyperliquid.
The adjusted gross profit guidance for 2026 has been raised from $5-7 million to $7-8 million. Additionally, Hyperion DeFi expects its adjusted net operating cash flow to turn positive in the third quarter of 2026, ahead of its previous estimate of year-end.
CEO Hyunsu Jung stated that the company's DeFi business has accelerated recently and is expected to achieve profitability and cash flow balance in the third quarter. He also mentioned that HYPD shares have been trading at a discount of around 20-30% relative to net asset value in recent times.
The board has authorized the repurchase of up to $20 million worth of outstanding common stock over a period not exceeding 12 months, which can be done through various means such as open market purchases, private agreements, and block trades. The amount of shares repurchased will depend on market conditions and may be extended, suspended or terminated at any time.
