Hyperion DeFi Surges Past Market Downturn with Record Q2 Earnings
Hyperion DeFi has bucked the trend in the cryptocurrency market downturn by more than tripling its net income to $31 million in Q2. This is a significant increase from the previous quarter's $8.8 million record.
The company's HYPE assets have also seen a substantial growth, rising from $71 million at the end of Q1 to $133 million. As a result, Hyperion DeFi has broken its net income record for the second consecutive quarter.
In contrast, the same period last year saw the company report a net loss of approximately $9 million.
CEO Hyunsu Jung attributes the growth in HYPE treasury and the development of scalable businesses on Hyperliquid to reduced costs over time. The company has also committed to locking 500,000 HYPE tokens on the network with Entropy, the creator of HIP-3 markets, and allocating 500,000 HYPE to Skew Technologies for HIP-4 outcome markets.
