Hyperion DeFi Surpasses Crypto Peers with Record Q2 Profit
Hyperion DeFi posted a record $31 million profit for Q2 of 2026, nearly quadrupling its previous quarterly earnings. The Dallas-based company's gains from its Hyperliquid (HYPE) treasury accounted for almost all of that figure.
The Nasdaq-listed company's HYPE treasury earned $54.8 million during the quarter, up from $21.5 million in Q1. This resulted in a 56% increase in token count since June 2025, with Hyperion now holding 2.04 million tokens worth $132.6 million at quarter's end.
According to the earnings report, 'Our model is no longer a concept that we ask investors to envision; it has become reality.'
In contrast, other peer crypto treasuries suffered heavy losses over the same period, with Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) reporting a net loss of $8.22 billion due to an unrealized loss of $8.32 billion on its Bitcoin holdings.
