Hyperliquid and Robinhood Set to Drive Next Bitcoin Rally
Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan predicts that Bitcoin's next rally will be driven by revenue-producing platforms and traditional financial sector integration, rather than speculative fervor. Two key drivers of this trend are Hyperliquid and Robinhood, according to Hougan.
Hyperliquid has experienced a 146% surge in value this year, with projected annual revenue reaching $800 million. The platform's native token, HYPE, has also seen significant growth, outperforming the wider cryptocurrency sector. As of June, Hyperliquid had achieved cumulative revenue of $1 billion and is allocating 99% of its revenues toward HYPE token buybacks.
Rozsah of Robinhood Chain, which debuted on July 1, has attracted over $300 million in user deposits and facilitated 3.6 million transactions daily. The platform provides access to decentralized finance protocols such as Uniswap and Morpho, although initial usage has centered on meme coins rather than tokenized securities.
Hougan also highlighted other key players in the market, including Coinbase, BlackRock, Visa, Stripe, and JPMorgan, which he believes are worth monitoring. He noted that Bitcoin's price has climbed 9% since early July, while the Nasdaq-100 declined 6%. Demand indicators for Bitcoin are showing renewed positive momentum, according to Bitwise analysis.
