Hyperliquid Burns $1.28M HYPE Amid Price Correction
Hyperliquid's HYPE token has seen a correction in price over the past two days, but the protocol's deflationary model is still gaining pace. Despite this, $1.28 million worth of HYPE was burned by Hyperliquid over the past 24 hours after generating $1.65 million in fees.
The lifetime token burns have now reached 47.53 million HYPE, equivalent to $2.68 billion, indicating stronger long-term holding and fewer tokens changing hands. This has led to a steadily tightening supply backdrop, which could translate into bullish signals in the long run.
According to Token Terminal data, Hyperliquid's circulating turnover has fallen to a weekly average of 2.9%, suggesting that holders are keeping their positions instead of rotating supply back into the market. The reduced token availability has historically supported bullish trends when demand remains stable.
