Hyperliquid Burns $830K HYPE Tokens Amid Record Price Levels

Hyperliquid's Assistance Fund continued its buying and burning of HYPE tokens, purchasing approximately 9,730 tokens worth $829,500 in a single day. This latest activity brings the total amount of burned HYPE to around 48.42 million tokens, representing about 4.84% of the maximum token supply.

The average price for this purchase was $85.27 per HYPE, and at current market prices, the cumulative balance of burned tokens would be valued near $4.14 billion.

It's worth noting that the burn does not transfer cash directly to HYPE holders, as token ownership does not provide a legal claim on Hyperliquid Labs' revenue. The mechanism instead reduces token supply and creates open-market demand.
