Hyperliquid Crypto Outperforms Bitcoin as HYPE Token Surges
The Hyperliquid crypto network has had a strong second quarter of 2026, outperforming Bitcoin in terms of price growth. HYPE, the token associated with the platform, gained about 77% during this period, while Bitcoin lost 14.2%. According to data from Hyperliquid Research Collective, trading activity on the network increased significantly, with markets built under HIP-3 reaching new records across various asset classes.
The strong performance of HYPE can be attributed in part to the growing demand for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to the token. The first HYPE ETFs were launched in the United States during Q2, and this development has contributed to the increased interest in Hyperliquid crypto.
Another factor that may have influenced the price of HYPE is speculation surrounding a potential integration with Pump.Fun. A recent blockchain record showed that Pump.Fun registered the hyperliquid-mainnet subdomain, sparking talk of possible collaboration between the two platforms.
