Hyperliquid Dominates Crypto Buyback Surge to $638M in 2026
Crypto buybacks have seen a significant surge in 2026, reaching $638 million. This represents a 17% increase from the $545 million deployed last year.
According to Bitget, the revenue engine behind these buybacks has committed a growing amount of capital towards purchasing tokens using their own revenues.
The trend indicates that there is an increasing allocation of fee-generated income towards repurchasing tokens by high-revenue-generating protocols.
Hyperliquid leads with $370 million in buybacks, followed closely by Pumpfun at $200 million. Together, they account for nearly 90% of the total spent on buybacks so far this year.
