Hyperliquid Dominates DEXs with Record-Shattering Trading Volume
Hyperliquid has taken the lead among decentralized exchanges (DEXs) in July, with its perpetual trading volume reaching an impressive $218 billion. This figure surpasses the combined total of the other seven leading DEXs, which recorded a trading volume of around $189 billion. The data comes from CryptoRank and highlights Hyperliquid's rapid growth in the market.
Aster, Lighter, and GRVT follow closely behind Hyperliquid, with trading volumes totaling approximately $43.6 billion, $36.4 billion, and $34.4 billion, respectively. Variational, Pacifa, EVEDEX, and Extended trail behind with trading volumes of $23.7 billion, $22.2 billion, $14.4 billion, and $13.5 billion.
Notably, Hyperliquid also recorded a significant increase in open interest for traditional asset markets (Hip-3), which soared above $4.13 billion for the first time ever. Daily trading volume on the platform also experienced a notable spike, increasing by 229% or $4.87 billion, surpassing the amount of capital held on the platform.
However, the HYPE asset has not followed suit, with its price continuing to decline despite positive fundamentals. The asset has underperformed over the last 30 days, experiencing losses of up to 20%, according to CoinMarketCap data.
