Hyperliquid Eyes US Perpetual Futures Market Through Kraken Partnership
Hyperliquid Labs is in advanced talks with Payward, Kraken's parent company, to allow US traders to buy some of its decentralized perpetual futures through the regulated Bitnomial exchange.
The arrangement would require final regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which has already been presented an outline of the structure by Payward.
Payward acquired Bitnomial for up to $550 million in cash and stock on May 1, gaining CFTC-licensed entities including a designated contract market, derivatives clearing organization, and registered futures commission merchant.
Kraken has already begun offering CFTC-regulated perpetual futures to eligible US clients through its Pro platform since June 15, with contracts listed on Bitnomial and cleared through NinjaTrader Clearing.
