Hyperliquid Faces Record-Breaking Token Release and Insider Dominance

Hypeliquid's largest scheduled token release arrives on August 29, releasing 14,175,778 tokens worth approximately $1.2 billion into circulation.

This represents about 1.4% of the total supply and roughly 2.7% of current market capitalization.

The destination of those tokens matters more than the headline figure, with insiders taking the largest share at 46.6%, followed by 46.3% to the community through grants, rewards, and airdrops, and 7% to the Hyper Foundation.

This is structurally different from the August 6 unlock, where 46.3% of tokens went to the community.
