Hyperliquid Faces Regulatory Challenges and Centralization Pressure

Hyperliquid is facing two major long-term challenges: regulation and throughput. According to Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy, the platform's performance in real-world assets (RWA), commodities, and equity trading has not addressed these concerns.

Regulatory requirements could force Hyperliquid to change its structure if it wants to compete with traditional markets like CME and Nasdaq. The CEO mentioned that implementing know-your-customer (KYC) procedures may require the platform to become increasingly centralized.
