The cryptocurrency market is experiencing heightened uncertainty as Hyperliquid witnessed unprecedented USDC outflows of $60 million in a single day. This significant distress has led to market instability, affecting the value of its native token, HYPE.

Rumors about North Korean hacking groups targeting Hyperliquid have sparked fears of potential cyberattacks, with some experts pointing to on-chain evidence of orchestrated attacks from North Korea. Cybersecurity expert Tayvano detailed this information in a December 22 post on X, highlighting the platform's vulnerability.

The abrupt outflow of funds has exerted considerable downward pressure on the HYPE token price, resulting in a sharp drop within the last 24 hours. The altcoin is currently valued at $29.22, reflecting a 15% decrease. The trading volume has escalated by 64%, reaching an unprecedented high of $671 million.
