Hyperliquid (HYPE) Surges on Institutional Accumulation and Strong Fundamentals
Hyperliquid (HYPE) has experienced a significant price surge of 3.5% over the last 14 hours, driven by institutional and ETF accumulation, strong protocol fundamentals, and short-term flows.
The growth in institutional and ETF exposure has been a major driver for HYPE's price action. Three US-listed HYPE ETFs have attracted $356.6 million in cumulative net inflows, with total ETF assets around $480.9 million, representing over 2% of HYPE's market cap.
Additionally, analysis of 13F filing data shows approximately 30 institutional firms holding around $74.9 million in HYPE ETF exposure. Bitwise's BHYP resumed accumulation, buying about $10.5 million of HYPE on September 4 and having accumulated an estimated $166.3 million since launch.
Another catalyst for the price surge is Hyperliquid's high revenue and aggressive buyback and burn mechanics. A projection suggests that Hyperliquid could generate around $193 million in annual revenue, with daily buyback pressure exerting roughly $527,000 on HYPE. In one 24-hour period, Hyperliquid repurchased and burned around 9,730 HYPE, worth about $829,500 at an average price of $85.27.
