Hyperliquid (HYPE) Surges on Institutional Buying Spree
Hyperliquid (HYPE) has seen a significant price surge of around 3.1% over the last 32 hours, driven by a cluster of bullish institutional catalysts rather than a single event.
The largest and most visible player adding HYPE is Multicoin Capital, which has accumulated over $100 million in the token, citing Hyperliquid's fee-driven buyback model and growth ambitions as key drivers. This build-up started in February and has been explicitly highlighted by the fund.
CORPORATE AND TREASURY ACCUMULATION: Listed entities and crypto treasuries have also increased their exposure to HYPE, with Hyperion DeFi's Q2 report showing its HYPE holdings almost doubled in value due to both price appreciation and incremental token accumulation. It has committed large staked HYPE tranches to new HIP-3 and HIP-4 builders on the Hyperliquid stack.
ETF net flows have flipped back positive, with a +$2.84 million net inflow after three straight weeks of redemptions totaling around -$30.6 million. The cumulative ETF inflows stand at $280.8 million, with HYPE still trading about 29% below all-time highs.
