Hyperliquid Pushes For On-Chain Derivatives Amid CLARITY Act Delay
The Hyperliquid Policy Center has filed a petition with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission to create a regulatory framework for on-chain perpetual derivatives trading.
This move comes as Hyperliquid faces increased competition from regulated U.S. platforms and cooling investor demand for its token, according to JPMorgan.
The CLARITY Act, which aims to provide clarity on digital assets, has been delayed until September due to a lack of time before the August recess.
