Hyperliquid Rides RWA Wave as HYPE Targets $60 Breakout
Hyperliquid has seen a significant surge in new users attracted to its platform through real-world asset (RWA) trading. In the first half of 2026, RWA activity drew in 169,000 wallets, accounting for 31.7% of all new users. What's more striking is that around 137,000 of these wallets, or 80.9%, remained focused on RWA markets rather than venturing into established digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
This shift in user intent suggests a fundamental change in how investors approach blockchain platforms. According to the data, institutional engagement, regulatory developments, and evolving investor demographics could further shape RWA adoption in the coming quarters.
The price of HYPE, Hyperliquid's governance token, has also caught analysts' attention. Trading at $57.39 with a 22.52% year-over-year gain, technical analysts see a potential breakout towards $60 if it clears a descending trendline resistance. The token's technical setup coincides with notable institutional accumulation, as HYPE exchange-traded funds have recorded net inflows of $297.73 million since their launch.
