Hyperliquid Seeks U.S. Expansion Amid Regulatory Uncertainty
Hyperliquid, one of the largest venues for onchain perpetual futures trading, is seeking to enter the U.S. market despite regulatory uncertainty surrounding its operations.
The company has already invested $29 million in a Washington-based policy organization called the Hyperliquid Policy Center, which aims to advocate for clearer rules governing decentralized finance and perpetual derivatives.
Hyperliquid's expansion into the U.S. is complicated by the platform's use of onchain infrastructure, which differs from traditional exchanges and can make it difficult to comply with American derivatives laws.
