Hyperliquid Seeks US Entry Amid Regulatory Hurdles
Hyperliquid, a leading platform for crypto perpetual futures, is seeking to expand into the US market despite regulatory restrictions that prohibit US users from accessing its trading interface. The company has experienced significant growth, with its token HYPE rising 79.2% in Q2 2026.
The company's Policy Center, led by crypto lawyer Jake Chervinsky, is advocating for clear regulations to allow Americans to participate in on-chain derivatives markets.
Hyperliquid is now engaging with US regulators to adapt existing rules to decentralized finance products and is working towards a legal way to offer perpetual contracts to US traders after the CFTC approved a perpetual futures contract in May 2026.
