Hyperliquid Sees Tokenized Real-World Assets Surpass Other Categories in Trading Volume
Tokenized real-world assets have surpassed other categories in trading volume on Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual futures exchange. According to Blockworks analytics, RWAs generated $25.1 billion in trading volume from July 13 to July 19, representing 52% of the platform's total weekly volume of $48.2 billion.
This marks the first time that RWA volume has exceeded the combined trading volume of all other asset categories on Hyperliquid. The growth in RWA adoption is also evident, with a 32% increase in holders to 1.25 million and a 3.5% rise in total value to $36.7 billion over the past month.
Hyperliquid's performance has been significant, with the exchange generating $7.6 million in revenue over the week, placing it third among crypto applications by revenue behind Tether and Circle.
