Hyperliquid Shows Signs of Reversal as MACD Forms 'Death Cross'
The cryptocurrency market is showing signs of a potential reversal in price for Hyperliquid (HYPE), despite the asset's recent all-time high of $89. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator formed a 'death cross' pattern, which often precedes a decline in price. However, the last time HYPE formed this pattern in June, the price actually entered a range-bound pattern.
Despite the potential for a short-term decline, strong spot market accumulation is continuing to drive up demand for HYPE. Over the past seven days, investors purchased $445 million worth of HYPE, with netflows reaching -$17.95 million. This suggests that investors remain confident in the asset's bullish trajectory.
However, the perpetual market shows a growing level of losses among long traders, with roughly $225,270 lost over the past day. This implies that the market's directional bias is shifting towards short sellers.
