Hyperliquid Strategies Boosts Equity Facility to $2.5 Billion
Hyperliquid Strategies has significantly expanded its equity purchase commitment with Chardan Capital Markets LLC. The company's agreement with Chardan, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on September 1, now stands at $2.5 billion, up from the initial $1 billion. This increase gives Hyperliquid Strategies an additional $1.5 billion of aggregate equity purchase capacity.
The expansion is part of a broader treasury-building strategy centered around the HYPE token. As of June 30, Hyperliquid Strategies had sold approximately $647 million of shares through the facility, according to The Block's reporting on the company's latest SEC filings. This growth highlights the growing importance of the HYPE token in the company's financial plans.
One key condition for discounted sales under the agreement is a limit on issuances below $12.02 per share at 42,641,847 shares, or 19.99% of shares outstanding immediately before the amendment, unless shareholder approval required by Nasdaq is obtained.
