Hyperliquid Strategies Doubles Equity Facility to $2.5 Billion
Hyperliquid Strategies has increased its equity financing facility with Chardan Capital Markets to $2.5 billion, allowing the company to raise more funds through selling new shares over time.
The agreement lets Hyperliquid direct Chardan to purchase newly issued shares at different points in time, which are then resold on the open market. The company controls when and how much it sells, taking into account market conditions, stock price, and management's funding needs.
The $2.5 billion figure represents the maximum size of the facility, not the amount raised or planned to be spent. The company has previously used this facility to raise $647 million through selling shares to Chardan.
As of August 19, Hyperliquid held about 29.3 million HYPE tokens, worth over $773 million in total purchases since its business combination in December 2025. The stock closed at $11.36 on September 1, down about 7.3% for the day.
