Hyperliquid Surpasses Pump in Revenue and Token Burn
Hyperliquid has been making waves in the crypto space by outmaneuvering Pump in terms of revenue and token burn. While Pump's full platform generated $4.82M in daily fees, Hyperliquid produced $2.37M in daily revenue.
The key difference lies in how each protocol routes its revenue into token economics. Pump's reported PUMP buybacks reached $941,387, but this figure is separate from its overall revenue. In contrast, Hyperliquid automatically converts trading fees into HYPE via its Assistance Fund, which then gets permanently burned.
This means that Hyperliquid's holders are receiving a significant portion of the protocol's daily revenue, with 99% of qualifying perpetual fees and spot fees being routed into the fund. This has led to a steady stream of buying pressure on the token, with approximately 30,000 HYPE tokens being acquired daily at $79.22 per token.
It's worth noting that Hyperliquid's revenue is not solely driven by its buy-and-burn mechanism. The protocol has been experiencing steady trading activity, with $6.84 billion in perpetual volume over the last snapshot and daily liquidations comfortably below its 30-day average.
