Hyperliquid Taps Kraken's Regulatory Footprint for US Entry
Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetuals platform, is planning its entry into the U.S. market through a strategic partnership with Kraken's parent company, Payward. The move involves utilizing Bitnomial's CFTC-regulated exchange infrastructure, which has already been granted licenses by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. This proposal, submitted for review to the CFTC, would allow U.S. market participants to access a limited selection of Hyperliquid's perpetual futures.
Market pricing suggests that participants are moderately optimistic about Hyperliquid reaching significant price milestones by year-end, with some predictions even suggesting a 64% chance of achieving this goal by December 31. The move could indicate a growing trend of crypto platforms seeking regulated U.S. market participation, and the outcome of the CFTC's review will be crucial in determining the platform's ability to operate in the U.S.
