Hyperliquid Targets 75% RWA Volume Share by 2027
Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual futures exchange on its own Layer-1 blockchain, is shifting focus to real-world assets (RWAs). The platform has announced that by 2027, it expects RWAs to account for 75% of its volume. This shift towards RWAs comes after the protocol saw 52% of its volume come from these assets in the week ending July 19, 2026.
The transition is a move away from traditional cryptocurrencies and into diversifying asset classes. Market odds currently show a 20.5% probability that Hyperliquid will reach $100 by December 31, 2026. This figure has decreased slightly since last week's 29% possibility.
Hyperliquid's expansion into RWAs has also led to an increase in open interest, which hit record highs this year. The platform's market presence is strengthening as it continues to develop its real-world asset segment.
