Hypers liquid is reportedly testing a KYC feature on its decentralized exchange (DEX), allowing users to create an allowlist for trading. Analysts speculate that this move could be a push to onboard U.S. users, potentially creating a separate segment for them and market makers.

This development comes after Uniswap unveiled its first 'permissioned pools' with similar features last week. According to Uniswap CEO Hayden Adams, the move was aimed at ensuring trading of 'regulated tokens and tokenized assets.'

Hypers liquid has been engaging with U.S. regulators on how to access its platform in a regulated way, as currently there is no clear DeFi regulatory framework in place.
