Hyperliquid Unshackles Developer Creativity with Permissionless HIP-4 Deployments
Hyperliquid has made significant strides in launching permissionless HIP-4 contract deployments on its testnet. This move allows developers to create fully collateralized outcome contracts without needing approval from a gatekeeper.
HIP-4 is Hyperliquid's standard for contracts that settle within a fixed range, making it ideal for binary prediction questions and capped-range options. The protocol sidesteps the risk of undercollateralized positions and liquidation cascades common in perpetuals and margin trading on other venues.
Testnet users can now deploy HIP-4 markets without permission, with configurable fees soon to be implemented. This feature will allow market creators to adjust take rates, potentially shaping how quickly these markets attract liquidity.
