Hyperliquid Unveils HIP-4 Deployment as HyENA Shuts Down
The Hyperliquid platform has announced two major developments in its news today update. The exchange's founder Jeff confirmed that HIP-4 permissionless deployment will activate in the next network upgrade, with templates opening gradually through validator voting.
According to WuBlockchain reports, Jeff stated that the next network upgrade will switch on Permissionless Deployment for markets. Templates will not launch all at once and instead, Validator Voting will decide which standardized templates go live and in what order.
The rollout is tied to the next scheduled network upgrade, with templates opening in phases rather than a single release. This marks one of the more structurally significant governance changes this year for Hyperliquid.
In related news, HyENA, a USDe margin perpetuals platform built on Hyperliquid's framework, announced that it will be winding down all markets between August 31 and September 2.
