Hyperliquid Unveils Manual Lending on Testnet, Boosting DeFi Flexibility
Decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Hyperliquid has announced the launch of its manual lending feature on testnet, marking a significant step in the development of its lending infrastructure.
The testnet deployment introduces manual lending capabilities that enable HyperEVM smart contracts to access HyperCore's lending functions through CoreWriter and read-only precompile contracts.
This technical integration is designed to test the system's robustness and compatibility before any potential mainnet expansion.
According to Hyperliquid, all lending functions on the mainnet are still restricted to portfolio margin mode, meaning the testnet rollout does not yet signal an immediate change to live trading conditions.
The company is likely using this phase to gather feedback and identify any issues before broadening access.
