Hyperliquid Whale Reopens Massive BTC and ETH Longs Worth $170 Million
A significant player in the cryptocurrency market has reopened its massive positions, accumulating nearly $170 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) longs. The entity, known as Hyperliquid Whale, had previously closed 2,000 BTC and 120,000 ETH three days earlier for a realized profit of $61.72 million.
Hyperliquid Whale reopened its positions by acquiring 1,000 BTC at an average price of $78,758 each and 38,000 ETH at an average price of $2,478.6 per coin. This brings the total notional value of the entity's longs to $170 million, with a current floating loss of $2.39 million.
The price action on the 4-hour chart shows that Bitcoin is currently trading within its Bollinger Bands, with an upper resistance level at $80,612.67. The 50-Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and 200-EMA continue to anchor the bullish structure, but a test of the lower band support near $77,273.03 appears likely before any sustained move higher.
