Hyperscale Data Funds Michigan AI Campus with Bitcoin Sale
Hyperscale Data has made significant strides in its expansion into artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The company recently sold approximately 100 Bitcoin to fund construction and equipment purchases for its AI data center in Michigan.
The sale allowed Hyperscale Data to secure a BTC-backed credit facility with a variable interest rate of around 4.5% to 5%. This financing arrangement enables the company to raise additional capital against its remaining Bitcoin, rather than selling a larger share of its holdings immediately.
The new AI data center is expected to provide 20 megawatts of computing capacity, with potential for expansion to 52 megawatts. A 10-year master services agreement with an unnamed customer could generate over $1.2 billion in revenue if all options are exercised. The contract also has two optional five-year extensions, which could increase the total value to exceed $3 billion.
