Hyperscale Data Halts Bitcoin Mining Amid AI Infrastructure Shift
Hyperscale Data Inc., a company listed on the NYSE American under the ticker GPUS, has temporarily ceased all bitcoin mining operations at its Michigan data center. The shutdown is aimed at preparing the facility for AI infrastructure deployment as per a previously announced master services agreement.
The agreement, which has an initial 10-year term with two five-year extension options, is expected to generate revenue exceeding $1.2 billion if exercised for the maximum 20-year term. The contract includes an option for the customer to add 32 megawatts of additional capacity within the first two years.
The Michigan facility has a total estimated power capacity of approximately 340 megawatts, with roughly 80% remaining available for additional customers and future expansion after deployment under the current agreement.
