Hyperscale Data Seeks Financing with BTC for Michigan AI Data Center Buildout
Hyperscale Data is shifting its focus towards AI infrastructure while retaining its legacy Bitcoin mining business. The company has sold approximately 100 BTC and secured a Bitcoin-backed credit facility to finance its Michigan AI data center buildout.
The campus will support a long-term services agreement with an unnamed AI infrastructure provider, potentially generating over $1.2 billion in revenue, with expansions raising this figure above $3 billion. The company retains 1,006 BTC, ranking 44th among public corporate Bitcoin holders.
Hyperscale Data's NYSE American-listed shares (GPUS) rose more than 5% on Thursday. The data center campus is being developed to support a previously announced master services agreement with an unnamed AI infrastructure provider, initially covering about 20 megawatts of AI compute capacity.
