Hyperscale Data Sells 100 BTC to Fuel $3B AI Data Center Campus
Hyperscale Data Inc., a Las Vegas-based company trading on the NYSE American exchange, has sold approximately 100 BTC to fund its AI data center campus in Dowagiac, Michigan. The sale took place on July 30, 2026, and was worth around $6.5 million at the time, given the Bitcoin price of $64,800.
The funds will be used for a 617,000-square-foot building that has been operated as a bitcoin mining site through subsidiary Alliance Cloud Services. The company signed a 10-year agreement with a California-based neo-cloud AI provider in June 2026 for 20 megawatts of compute capacity, expected to go live in the fourth quarter.
The deal could bring in more than $1.2 billion, and the customer holds an option for another 32 megawatts, which if exercised would top $3 billion in total contract revenue. The company has expanded its land at the site to about 83 acres and cited long-term power potential above 300 megawatts.
GPUS now holds approximately 1,006 bitcoin after pledging remaining coins for a new credit facility with variable rates of around 4.5% to 5.0%. This move does not signal a change in the company's long-term view of Bitcoin, but rather shifting one balance sheet asset for another.
Executive Chairman Milton 'Todd' Ault III described it as a source of financial flexibility, built through mining and treasury management. Chief Executive Officer William Horne explained that the money is going toward building out its AI data center campus in Michigan.
