Hyperscale Data Sells 685 Bitcoin for $43 Million
Hyperscale Data has made significant moves to strengthen its liquidity and debt profile by selling approximately 685 Bitcoin for $43 million. The company intends to deploy the proceeds primarily towards developing and expanding its Michigan data center.
The sale of Bitcoin does not mark a departure from Hyperscale's long-term strategy, which includes continuing to mine Bitcoin and accumulate more over time. In fact, the company expects to use mining production and available capital to rebuild and increase its Bitcoin position in the future.
With the liquidation, Hyperscale now holds approximately 275 Bitcoin. According to Executive Chairman Milton 'Todd' Ault III, this decision is about capital allocation and the best use of resources at this stage of the company's development.
The Michigan data center buildout will be supported by the additional liquidity generated from the sale of Bitcoin. Hyperscale Data believes its AI-powered data centers will play a key role in supporting high-performance computing services, particularly for emerging industries.
