Hyperscale Data Sells 685 Bitcoin for $43 Million
Hyperscale Data has sold approximately 685 bitcoin for $43 million to fund its Michigan data center. The company said this transaction strengthened its liquidity, giving it additional capital to support the data center while providing flexibility to manage debt, equity, and its broader capital structure.
The sale reduces Hyperscale Data's holdings to about 275 BTC, but it continues to maintain meaningful bitcoin exposure through its remaining assets. The company plans to continue mining Bitcoin and, over time, expects to use mining production and available capital to rebuild and increase its Bitcoin position.
This decision is part of a broader shift among publicly listed bitcoin miners toward artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure. Hyperscale Data's Executive Chairman, Milton 'Todd' Ault III, stated that bitcoin has been an important part of the company's strategy and will remain so going forward.
