Hyperscale Data Sells 685 Bitcoin for $43 Million Amid Pivot Towards AI Infrastructure
Hyperscale Data, Inc., a prominent Bitcoin mining company, recently announced two significant moves. Firstly, it sold around 685 Bitcoin for approximately $43 million, which will be used towards expanding its Michigan data center and strengthening its capital structure.
The proceeds from the sale will be allocated towards debt management, equity, and overall corporate initiatives. Despite this move, Hyperscale Data clarified that it remains committed to its long-term Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
In fact, the company's executive chairman Milton 'Todd' Ault III emphasized that 'Bitcoin has been an important part of our strategy and we expect it to remain an important part of our strategy going forward.' He also stated that they intend to continue mining Bitcoin and rebuild their position over time.
The company also announced a 1-for-5 reverse stock split, which will take effect on August 24. This decision aims to boost its per-share trading price.
