Hyperscale Data Sells 685 BTC for $43 Million, Boosts Michigan Data Center Development
Hyperscale Data has made another significant move in its Bitcoin strategy by selling approximately 685 BTC for around $43 million. This sale brings down the company's holdings to about 275 BTC, but management reassures that it remains committed to accumulating more Bitcoin over time.
The proceeds from this sale will primarily go towards financing the continued development of the Michigan data center, which is a key project for Hyperscale Data. According to Executive Chairman Milton 'Todd' Ault III, part of the company's capital can currently generate more value by being allocated towards data center work and adjusting the company's capital structure.
Despite reducing its treasury, Hyperscale Data plans to continue mining Bitcoin and rebuilding its holdings over time using future mining production and available capital. The company will also reassess how it allocates capital among Bitcoin, data center infrastructure, debt obligations, working capital, and other investments.
