Hyperscale Data (NYSE American: GPUS) has tapped its Bitcoin holdings to finance the construction and equipment of its $3 billion AI data center campus in Michigan. The company sold approximately 100 BTC for around $6.5 million, establishing a Bitcoin-backed credit facility with variable interest rates between 4.5% and 5.0%. This move is part of Hyperscale's effort to fund an AI infrastructure project tied to a Master Services Agreement with projected revenues exceeding $1.2 billion.

The initial agreement covers 20 MW of AI computing capacity at the Michigan campus under a 10-year term, with estimated deployment costs between $100 million and $120 million. Hyperscale holds over 1,106 BTC valued at approximately $71-72 million, aiming to accumulate $100 million in Bitcoin assets as part of its broader treasury target.

The company is redirecting its power infrastructure from Bitcoin mining capacity to AI workloads, with Executive Chairman Milton 'Todd' Ault III overseeing the transition through subsidiaries including Sentinum and Ault Capital Group.
