Hyperscale Data Unveils AI-Focused Strategy with Bitcoin-Backed Financing
Hyperscale Data, a company formerly known as Ault Alliance, has taken a significant step in its transformation into an artificial intelligence infrastructure provider. The company sold approximately 100 Bitcoin to secure financing for its new data center in Michigan.
The sale aligns with the growing demand for AI infrastructure and demonstrates how digital assets can act as a financial bridge for large-scale physical projects. In addition to direct sales, Hyperscale Data obtained a line of credit backed by BTC, providing additional funding at variable interest rates ranging from 4.5% to 5.0%.
The new data center is designed to support a master services agreement with an artificial intelligence infrastructure provider, initially covering approximately 20 megawatts (MW) of computing capacity dedicated exclusively to AI. This contract has an initial term of 10 years, with two possible five-year extensions, and is expected to generate significant revenue for the company.
The rebranding from Ault Alliance to Hyperscale Data reflects its new corporate focus on artificial intelligence infrastructure while maintaining its Bitcoin mining division in a hybrid business model. This duality allows the company to diversify its revenue streams and take advantage of the natural synergy between AI's high computing capacity requirements and the existing electrical infrastructure for crypto mining.
